NO SOUND!!! Mind you, my speakers are often turned off unless I’m listening to music.

I’ve tried everything I can think of and followed Google advice, but can’t fix them. I uses sound so rarely, I’m reluctant to be parted from my laptop for a couple of days while it’s fixed.
